Emerson’s Cigars Unveils New “Silver Tray Special”!
Emerson’s Cigars of Hampton Roads, Virginia will be launching their latest marketing campaign next week, which they’ve cleverly coined the Silver Tray Special. Starting Monday, Emerson’s will promote a new deal every week that’s available for seven days or while supplies last. Though they will offer the specials and promotions which have made them a major competitor in the industry, the Silver Tray Special will allow customers to have access to premium, handmade cigars and other various items at prices which make them affordable for everyone, both in-store and online. I spoke with Scott Regina, owner and CEO of Emerson’s Cigars, about this new innovation and what other plans he has in store for 2011.
Examiner: “Scott, many other companies seem to be offering weekly deals. What makes yours different?”
Scott Regina: “Our mission here at Emerson’s has been to focus on boutique brands and hard to find cigars . When you offer such quality products, they can understandably be a bit pricier than our competitors’ brand-owned items. Our goal with the Silver Tray Special is to introduce people to a higher standard with ultra-competitive pricing.”
E: “Sometimes when I order online from other companies, my order is placed on backorder. How do I know you’ll have the Silver Tray Special in-stock?”
SR: “All of our inventory is real-time. If it shows in-stock, we’ve got it. We rolled out the Emerson’s Smokin’ Guarantee program last year where we address this concern. Along with real-time inventory we tackle two additional elements, service and quality. For service, we promise same day shipping for orders placed before 3pm, Mon-Fri EST. In regards to quality, we keep our inventory levels in check so we’re able to store all of our products in our temperature and humidity controlled warehouse. Our cigars stay in the humidor until the moment you place your order. We also ship with Humidipak.”
E: “Are the deals going to be strictly cigars?”
SR: “Actually, no. Emerson’s has a wide variety of cigar accessories including products from world-renowned companies such as Xikar, S.T. Dupont, and Craftsman’s Bench. We also specialize in pipes and pipe tobacco, a field you’re going to see us expanding more this year. Everything is up for grabs.”
E: “Anything else exciting planned for 2011?”
SR: “Of course! We’ve remodeled our Virginia Beach Town Center location and could be sprucing up another one of our stores. We’re also adding a lot of cigar lunches as well as kicking off the second year of our Superstar Cigar Tour. E: “Any hints on the deal for Monday?”
SR: “I can’t give away too much, but if you love a good Maduro, you’re gonna want to check it out.”
