We recently caught up with former NASA employee,\u00a0Omar de Frais, Owner\u00a0of Fratello Cigars<\/a>,\u00a0to chat about his brand, what’s going on right now and what is in store.\u00a0Much of the focus has been on the newest release from the company, Fratello Navetta, de Frais explained:<\/p>\n

\u201cNavetta is a cigar that\u2019s very, very special to me. It\u2019s the cigar that I wanted to bring to my daughter\u2019s wedding. The blend is one that I did for the men and women of the shuttle program. They love this box because it\u2019s very unique, it looks like the TPS (Thermal Protection System) on the\u00a0space\u00a0shuttle.\u00a0Another unique thing\u00a0we did was that the filler tobacco was single origin, from a single farm in the Jalapa Valley in Nicaragua.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Switching gears from what is currently going on at Fratello, de Frais was excited to talk about how they’re constantly working to keep Fratello’s high quality\u00a0cigars in stock.\u00a0He then\u00a0teased\u00a0one of the projects he’s currently working on for an upcoming new release. While he was careful not to spoil the surprise, he did share a little bit about the next big thing from Fratello with us:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve grown a lot over the past year, so looking to the future we\u2019re focusing on being able to sustain the level of production that we know we need to keep up with this massive amount of growth, while continuing to work on some very special new projects. So, I can\u2019t tell you too much about this new project that we\u2019re working on but the branding looks amazing and we are really excited about it. We like to take our time to make sure we are putting out good products.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
